Zombies Gone Wild?

A few weeks ago I helped out a buddy that is making his own ‘zombie movie’ called ZombieSherb (it’s a French movie for zombies of Sherbrooke). Personally I’m not a big fan of the genre but, since a friend was living out a ‘dream’, I was happy to help out. I spent about 7 hours doing a few scenes. It was a fun day and I got to learn about Zombies…YES there seams to be a strong culture that revolves around ZOMBIES.

I got to ask questions; ’stupid’ questions like: At what moment does the zombie start dragging his leg? Do all the zombies drag a leg? Is it always the right leg?…

It was a great day with friend and we got to laugh about it all.

Spoiler!
I don’t want to ruin it for you but… I do get killed. This is a picture of my initial wound.

After that day I went to a local bookstore to relax and have a coffee. While I was there; I saw a book called The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead! The book has a Top 10 for Surviving a Zombie Attack. I will share this since I think we should all be ready…

1. Organize before they rise!
2. They feel no fear, why should you?
3. Use your head: cut off theirs.
4. Blades don’t need reloading.
5. Ideal protection = tight clothes, short hair.
6. Get up the staircase, then destroy it.
7. Get out of the car, get onto the bike.
8. Keep moving, keep low, keep quiet, keep alert!
9. No place is safe, only safer.
10. The zombie may be gone, but the threat lives on.

Yesterday, my wife hands me an article in the Maclean’s called Mr. Darcy, Miss Bennet and zombies. It’s a mash-up of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice and George Romero’s 1968 zombie film, Night of the Living Dead. The book is called Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: The Classic Regency Romance – Now with Ultraviolent Zombie Mayhem!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What the hell is going on? What is this obsession with zombies? Please help me understand…
